From the Rector:
 
 Summer is officially here with end of school and graduation days behind us.  I know many of you will be traveling some but I hope to see you in church when you are home.  Alicia and I will be on vacation for two weeks beginning this Monday, June 18th.  The Rev. Jim Nichols will be here to preach and celebrate the Eucharist on June 24th and July 1st. 
 
We are planning another Film & Theology event for Sunday, July 15th. The movie has not been chosen but I have received several great suggestions.  More importantly, this is a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend to join.  It is a great way for people to be introduced into our community and to learn of who we are.

ALL SAINTS’ NEWS:
 
 
COFFEE HOUR CHANGES:  Please remember coffee hour is not hosted each Sunday during the summer.  However, we do need volunteers willing to make coffee and lemonade each week.  We also need donations of cookies, muffins, coffee cake or doughnuts weekly.  If you’d like to buy or bake, please bring them to the church and put in the pantry or freezer.  We will be asking for summer coffee volunteers – consider helping when you’re available. 
 
ALL SAINTS’ ADVERTISING:  We have recently ordered 10 baseball caps with All Saints’ and the Episcopal shield on them.  They sold out the first Sunday.  If you would like to buy one please let Charles know.  Wearing them on the golf course or around town would be a great way to share who we are.  Also available are Episcopal Church shield car decals. 
 

 
CHURCH DIRECTORIES:  Our church directory is in need of updating.  The information on file will be in the back of the church and in the parish hall.  Please make time to check and update your information especially adding your date of birth, cell phone numbers and email addresses.
 
THE NURSERY is now available for those who wish to use it.  Please sign up in the back of the church if you are willing to volunteer to keep the nursery.
 
THE FIRST SUNDAY OUTREACH OFFERING is taken up at the close of the service on the first Sunday of each month. The July offering will benefit the Laurens County Memorial Home.
 
UNITED MINISTRIES FOOD BASKETS:   Nonperishable food will be received at the church at any time. This food will be presented at the altar on the second Sunday of each month. Please remember to bring nonperishable foods to fill the baskets! 
 
SINGING ROOSTER FAIR-TRADE COFFEE FROM HAITI is available through the church as a way of supporting our diocesan mission in Cange.  An order sheet is placed in the church and in the parish hall.  Buy some for yourself—and some to give as gifts!   All proceeds go to the farmers who grow the coffee in Haiti.
 
GLUTEN-FREE COMMUNION WAFERS are always available upon request.  Let the priest know before the service or at the communion rail.
