The Rev. Paul Abernathy will be preaching. These four Wednesdays in Advent as we prepare for the Incarnation are important in our corporate life. Please come. Also, I encourage you to bring a friend and make this holy time of anticipation special. This Sunday we continue our series on Advent during Christian formation. We are looking at the theological and liturgical meanings of the season. The question we will be discussing is “Jesus is coming to your house at 3:14 on Sunday afternoon. What will you do to prepare for that visit?” Our flower chart for 2018 is in the church and ready to be filled in. We still have a couple of slots left for December of this year. I hope to have all cards returned by December 3rd so we can bless them during our Eucharist. Sunday, there will be a sign-up sheet for soup and cornbread at the Advent dinners on November 29th and December 13th. Tuesday, November 7th (tonight) at 7:00 pm we will continue our Film & Theology series with the documentary, Searching for Sugar Man. We’ll meet in the HP Amphitheater on PC’s campus. This event is not just for Canterbury students, but is open to all All Saints’ members and friends. If you have never seen this documentary, I commend it to you so please join us. Peter Hobbie concludes his series of Christian Formation classes on Doctrines of the Church. He leads and engaging and spirited class. I hope you will plan to join us this Sunday at 9:30am. On Sunday, November 19th I’m going to start teaching classes that will continue through the end of the year. Please join us! I continue to give thanks to God for All Saints and each of you.
