All Saints’ Episcopal Church
We welcome, serve and love all unconditionally through Jesus Christ THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS: From the Rector: This week we have many opportunities to gather and renew our life in Christ together. Our final Lenten Evening Prayer service is tonight at 6:00 pm here at All Saints. Paul Abernathy will preach. Please join us for a soup supper afterwards. This Sunday, March 25th is Palm Sunday. It begins for us Holy Week, the most important week in our faith, as we walk with Christ into Jerusalem and hear again the Passion Gospel of his death. We also welcome our Bishop. We begin this Sunday at 9:30 am with a forum led by the bishop. He will be discussing Christian maturity in the age of alienation. See the description below from Bishop Waldo. “That we live in a time of deep change, polarization and alienation has become all too evident. We sometimes avoid any conversation with friends, family or colleagues on touchy subjects just to keep the peace, creating even greater distance from others with whom we otherwise long to be in productive and hopeful relationships. Scripture calls us as disciples of Jesus to bear witness to another way. Join Bishop Waldo in a conversation that puts the tools of mature Christian discipleship at the heart of our daily coming and going in the world—regardless of our secular politics or ideologies—and our ability to proclaim the good news of God in Christ Jesus to a broken world.” There will be name tags available. Please take time to wear one as it will help us welcome our bishop. The vestry will have an opportunity to gather with him following coffee hour. I hope you will join us for this special day in the life of All Saints.
