All Saints’ Episcopal Church
We welcome, serve and love all unconditionally through Jesus Christ THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS: From the Rector: It is good to be home. Alicia and I enjoyed time with family and friends but we are happy to be back in Clinton. Though it is summer, and we are all doing things and going places, being present in the pews is something I continue to strive for at All Saints’. Being present is a gift of stewardship. It is a gift of evangelism. Being here week by week is a gift to everyone who comes and every new person who walks through the door. By your presence you become a witness to God’s grace and love and can proclaim the truth of God’s love through Jesus Christ. Don’t miss an opportunity to share in Holy Eucharist (thanksgiving). July 15th will be our next Film and Theology presentation. The movie is “Collateral Beauty” starring Will Smith. We will gather at 5:00 for the film and then join in a covered dish supper. This is a great opportunity to invite someone to join you and a great way to be an evangelist for God at All Saints’. Also, as mentioned below in the news section, we are ordering merchandise to advertise All Saints’ wherever you may go. A great way to show us off in town and while on vacation. We have baseball caps (can order them in white or gray) and most recently, car stickers for sale. The caps are $18 and stickers are $2. Look for them on the back table in the Parish Hall. However, we do need volunteers willing to make coffee and lemonade each week. We also need donations of cookies, muffins, coffee cake or doughnuts weekly. If you’d like to buy or bake, please bring them to the church and put in the pantry or freezer. We will be asking for summer coffee volunteers – consider helping when you’re available. ALL SAINTS’ ADVERTISING: We have recently ordered 10 baseball caps with All Saints’ and the Episcopal shield on them. They sold out the first Sunday. If you would like to buy one please let Charles know. Wearing them on the golf course or around town would be a great way to share who we are. Also available are Episcopal Church shield car decals and All Saints’ Church decals. CHURCH DIRECTORIES: Our church directory is in need of updating. The information on file will be in the back of the church and in the parish hall. Please make time to check and update your information especially adding your date of birth, cell phone numbers and email addresses. THE NURSERY is now available for those who wish to use it. Please sign up in the back of the church if you are willing to volunteer to keep the nursery. THE FIRST SUNDAY OUTREACH OFFERING is taken up at the close of the service on the first Sunday of each month. The August offering will benefit the Laurens County Humane Society. UNITED MINISTRIES FOOD BASKETS: Nonperishable food will be received at the church at any time. This food will be presented at the altar on the second Sunday of each month. Please remember to bring nonperishable foods to fill the baskets! SINGING ROOSTER FAIR-TRADE COFFEE FROM HAITI is available through the church as a way of supporting our diocesan mission in Cange.
