All Saints’ Episcopal Church
We welcome, serve and love all unconditionally through Jesus Christ THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS From the Rector: We remember this day the events of September 11th, 2001. I remember the moment when I realized the tragedy which was unfolding in New York. As I watched this morning some of the ceremony honoring those who died, those feeling came flooding back. Please keep those who died that day, with special intention, in your prayers. There are many wonderful opportunities for our parish over the next couple of months. Alicia and I had our first “Episcopal Tailgating” for the Blue Hose this past Saturday. There are a couple of home games we will miss but we invite you to stop by, bring a chair and join us for a hotdog and fellowship if you are able. Just look for my red truck with the Episcopal church and PC flags. This coming Sunday is PC Sunday. Our preacher will be Rachel Parsons-Wells. Following the service there will be a pot luck luncheon. This Sunday is set aside to celebrate the unique relationship we have with Presbyterian College for ministry. Make sure you are here as we give thanks for the faculty, staff and students. This Friday at 4:00pm we will have a reception in the parish hall to give thanks for the life of Sharon Rexford. I hope you will come and join Joel as we give thanks for Sharon and the ministry she shared with All Saints. Please keep up with all the upcoming events this month. I want to tell about a new event which will take place on PC’s campus on Thursday, 9/21. All Saints and Canterbury will begin a Film and Theology series. We will be watching movies and then spend time discussing theological themes. The first movie will be “Cool Hand Luke”. Please watch your Newsbytes updates about the time and place.
