All Saints’ Episcopal Church
We welcome, serve and love all unconditionally
through Jesus Christ

THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS:

From the Rector:

This week a letter and stewardship cards are being mailed.   I hope you will prayerfully take time to fill in your card and return it to the church.  Once all the cards have been received, the vestry and I will begin to make plans for the 2020 mission and ministry of All Saints’.   What you pledge is important, but it is also an outward and visible sign of God’s blessings in your life.  Make your pledge truly a gift and response to God.

This Sunday is our next Film & Theology Event.  We will begin at 5:00 with the movie, “The Night of the Hunter”, a 1955 film starring Robert Mitchum.  Dean Thompson’s film class will be joining us.  Popcorn and drinks will be offered during the movie with a covered dish afterward.  Please bring a dish that will serve yourself plus a few more to include the PC students.

May God continue to bless and keep us.

ALL SAINTS’ NEWS:

PASTORAL CARE COMMITTEE needs new members.  If you are not on a list and would like to be, please contact LeAnn Watson at 833-4404.  Committee members help with receptions, funerals and provide meals during times of pastoral needs.

SERMONS are now available to read on the website.  Each week they are uploaded along with a copy of the Newsbytes.  You’ll find the tab for each at the top of the home page.

THE NURSERY is now available for those who wish to use it.  We are assigning volunteers on a monthly rotation throughout the year.  Please consider volunteering – safe church training is required.  Information regarding training dates and sites can be found on the diocesan website – www.edusc.org

THE FIRST SUNDAY OUTREACH OFFERING is taken up at the close of the service on the first Sunday of each month.  November’s offering will go to Open Door Ministries of Clinton.

UNITED MINISTRIES FOOD BASKETS:   Nonperishable food will be received at the church at any time. This food will be presented at the altar on the second Sunday of each month. Please remember to bring nonperishable foods to fill the baskets!

SINGING ROOSTER FAIR-TRADE COFFEE FROM HAITI is available through the church as a way of supporting our diocesan mission in Cange.  Bags of coffee are available for purchase in the parish hall as well as beautiful ornaments and home décor.   Buy some for yourself—and some to give as gifts!   All proceeds go to the farmers who grow the coffee in Haiti.

GLUTEN-FREE COMMUNION WAFERS are always available upon request.  Let the priest know before the service or at the communion rail.
