THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS:
From the Rector:
Have you thought about serving on Sunday as a lay minister? Have you watched the acolytes and chalice bearers, listened to the lectors and prayer intercessors, or looked to an usher and said to yourself, I’d like to do that! Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are the slightest bit interested. We will make sure to find the right ministry for you and provide training.
We are also looking for those with the ability to read another language. On the day of Pentecost, the gospel will be read in many languages all at once. “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.” Acts 2:4. If you are comfortable reading in French, Spanish, German, or even Swahili, please let me know. This is something new for All Saints’ I believe, but I think you will find it meaningful.
We plan to show the movie “St. Vincent” with Bill Murray as our next Film & Theology presentation on Pentecost Sunday, May 20th at 5:00 pm. As always, drinks and popcorn will be served as well as dinner after during discussion. Look for more details in the coming weeks.
