All Saints’ Episcopal Church
We welcome, serve and love all unconditionally
through Jesus Christ

THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS:

From the Rector:

This Saturday, February 23rd is the Oyster Roast!  Tickets are 35$ each for adults.  All are welcome and encouraged to bring friends.   We have sold quite a few tickets, but it is still possible to call (864-833-1388) or email (rector@allsaintsclinton.org)  if you want more.  They can be reserved and paid for at the door.  A sign-up sheet is available to help in any way as many hands are needed to make this event a great success.

This Sunday we continue with our Adult Formation class at 9:30 am.  We are reading Glorious Companions:  Five Centuries of Anglican Spirituality by Richard Schmidt.  This week we are led by Neal Prater discussing the chapter on George Herbert.   Please join us!

Coming in early March, with the help of Mitchell Felton, we will be offering a class entitled “Be the Bridge – The Bridge to Racial Unity”.  To jumpstart this program, the first endeavor will be a group discussion class of no more than 8-10 people that will focus on foundational principles that every white bridge builder needs to understand.  This helps white individuals understand that the very work of racial reconciliation within our church begins with quiet self-reflection and learning.  If you are interested in participating in this group discussion, please let Alicia know.  You may email her at apdavis1285@gmail.com  or call her at 803-360-5247.  The group is looking at meeting once a month beginning on Sunday, March 3rd from 5pm – 7pm at the church.  2 slots left!  Don’t miss out!

I will be away next Mon-Wed at Camp Gravatt with the Bishop and other clergy for Pre-Lenten retreat.  I will be available if any pastoral emergencies arise.  I continue to pray for each of you.  May God bless our work, and may we do his will as we seek to proclaim God’s unconditional love.

SERMONS are now available on the website.  Each week they are uploaded along with a copy of the Newsbytes.  You’ll find the tab for each at the top of the home page.

THE NURSERY is now available for those who wish to use it.  We are assigning volunteers on a monthly rotation throughout the year.  Please consider volunteering – safe church training is required.  Information regarding training dates and sites can be found on the diocesan website – www.edusc.org

THE FIRST SUNDAY OUTREACH OFFERING is taken up at the close of the service on the first Sunday of each month.  March’s offering is to the Clinton Community Garden Project.

UNITED MINISTRIES FOOD BASKETS:   Nonperishable food will be received at the church at any time. This food will be presented at the altar on the second Sunday of each month. Please remember to bring nonperishable foods to fill the baskets!

SINGING ROOSTER FAIR-TRADE COFFEE FROM HAITI is available through the church as a way of supporting our diocesan mission in Cange.  Bags of coffee are available for purchase in the parish hall.  Buy some for yourself—and some to give as gifts!   All proceeds go to the farmers who grow the coffee in Haiti.
