THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS
 
 From the Rector:
 
This week I will be sending a stewardship letter along with a card to the parish.  Please begin to pray about your response.  There will be additional cards available this Sunday, November 5th in the church.  By December 3rd, I hope that all cards will be returned to the church so we can bless them during our Eucharist.  
 
Peter Hobbie continues his series of Christian Formation classes on Doctrines of the Church.  He leads and engaging and spirited class.   I hope you will plan to join us this Sunday at 9:30am. 
 
Diocesan Convention takes place this Friday and Saturday at The Church of the Advent in Spartanburg.  Friday the 3rd is Leadership Day and anyone is welcome to come and be part.  Your Delegates will be attending Business Day on Saturday.  Please continue to pray for our Bishop and Diocese.
 
I continue to give thanks to God for All Saints and each of you.

On November 1st, I will be sending a stewardship letter along with a card to the parish.  Please begin to pray about your response.  There will be additional cards available that Sunday, November 5th in the church.  By December 3rd, I hope that all cards will be returned to the church so we can bless them during our Eucharist.  
 
This coming Sunday we will have Peter Hobbie continue his series of Christian Formation classes on Doctrines of the Church.  Peter’s ability to lead and teach is a gift to our parish.  I hope you will plan to join us this Sunday at 9:30am. 
 
Our next Episcopal Tailgating will be Saturday, October 28th  for PC’s Homecoming.  We will be set up by noon for kick-off at 2:30.  Please bring a chair and join us!  As always, look for the red truck with Episcopal and PC flags flying in the Garnet section across from the baseball field.

THE FIRST SUNDAY OUTREACH OFFERING is taken up at the close of the service on the first Sunday of each month. The November offering will benefit Open Door Ministries of Clinton. 
 
UNITED MINISTRIES FOOD BASKETS:   Nonperishable food will be received at the church at any time. This food will be presented at the altar on the second Sunday of each month. Please remember to bring nonperishable foods to fill the baskets!  *CURRENT URGENT NEEDS - CANNED GOODS
 
SINGING ROOSTER FAIR-TRADE COFFEE FROM HAITI is available through the church as a way of supporting our diocesan mission in Cange.  An order sheet is placed in the church and in the parish hall.  Buy some for yourself—and some to give as gifts!  All proceeds go to the farmers who grow the coffee in Haiti.
 
GLUTEN-FREE COMMUNION WAFERS are always available upon request.  Let the priest know before the service or at the communion rail.

 From the Rector:
 
The First Annual Blessing of the Animals took place this past Sunday.  We had 30 people but more importantly, we blessed 20 cats and dogs on a glorious afternoon.  I want to thank all who made it possible, especially those who assisted with advertising and setting up for the service.  I also want to thank the Laurens County Humane Society for being present with two of their rescue cats up for adoption.

THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS
 
 From the Rector:
 
 
Alicia and I had a wonderful time this past week.  We missed you though and are glad to be home.  There are several upcoming events which I hope you will join us for.
 
Episcopal Tailgating will resume this week on October 14th.   Whether you are a fan or not, come and join.   We normally begin two hours before kickoff.  This week we will gather at 10:00 in the Garnet section across from the baseball field.  Look for the Episcopal flag and the PC flag on the back of my truck.  Hot dogs, chips and drinks are on the menu.
 
This coming Sunday we will have Peter Hobbie begin a 5 week series of Christian Formation classes.  I hope you will plan to join us this Sunday at 9:30am.
 
 
 
Also, this Sunday at 4:00 pm we will have a Blessing of the Animals in recognition of St. Francis.   Please let your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers know about this as it is open to all.   If you would like a poster/flyer to hand out, let me know.
