THE NURSERY is now available for those who wish to use it. We are assigning volunteers on a monthly rotation throughout the year. Please consider volunteering – safe church training is required. Information regarding training dates and sites can be found on the diocesan website – www.edusc.org THE FIRST SUNDAY OUTREACH OFFERING is taken up at the close of the service on the first Sunday of each month. August’s offering will go to Laurens County Humane Society. UNITED MINISTRIES FOOD BASKETS: Nonperishable food will be received at the church at any time. This food will be presented at the altar on the second Sunday of each month. Please remember to bring nonperishable foods to fill the baskets! SINGING ROOSTER FAIR-TRADE COFFEE FROM HAITI is available through the church as a way of supporting our diocesan mission in Cange. Bags of coffee are available for purchase in the parish hall. Buy some for yourself—and some to give as gifts! All proceeds go to the farmers who grow the coffee in Haiti. GLUTEN-FREE COMMUNION WAFERS are always available upon request. We welcome, serve and love all unconditionally through Jesus Christ THIS WEEK AT ALL SAINTS: This fall I will be leading an Inquirers’ Class for 6 weeks. It is intentional for anyone who would like to join the Episcopal Church, for new parishioners to All Saints’ or anyone interested in learning more about our church or as a refresher course. Please let me know if you are interested. We do not yet have a date for when the bishop will be here to confirm, renew and receive, but this class will be in preparation for his visit. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, August 31st for All Saints’ Work Day. We have several projects for which we are preparing. Please let Harry or me know of anything you would like to add. I hope all will join us for the day – the plan is to begin at 10:00 am and finish at 1:00 with lunch. Also, we are planning to publish our church directory this fall. If you have yet to get your photo made, please make sure to see Howard Pierce who is over photographs so your picture can be included. Finally, I encourage you to read our bishop’s pastoral letter on the crisis at the southern border. He also has suggestions for ways to financially support those who are seeking to gain relief. Please pray for all those affected – for our government, law enforcement, and those seeking refuge in our nation.
